iMON Manager Version 8.00.0408, HD Frame Version 1.17.0408 Released (Apr. 11, 2011)

We released iMON Manager Version 8.00.0408 and HD Frame Version 1.17.0408 Version.

This version supports HD Frame with iMON products. If you're using the previous version of iMON Manager, please uninstall it in Control Panel and install new iMON Manager and HD Frame. HD frame includes the convenient features of FingerUI and iMEDIAN HD and you can easily use it with the touch input or the remote control input. As we think HD frames can replace most of the features of iMEDIAN HD, we'll not release the update for iMEDIAN HD any more. But HD frame will be continuously updated with the added new features and the fixed problems. Please understand this situation. But you can download the installation file for iMEDIAN HD last version at "SoundGraph Forums > Customer Support > Software > iMON Manager (Previous) / iMEDIAN HD.

If you're still using FingerUI, we recommend trying to uninstall FingerUI and install Touch Frame / HD Frame, the newer version of FingerUI. FingerVU Touch API version 1.00.0628 opened

We planed to open FingerVU related APIs step by step and one of them, FingerVU Touch API, is opened today.

With this FingerVU Touch API, Windows applications can receive and handle the touch input from FingerVU touch device. FingerVU's 'Independent Touch Control' feature allow FingerVU to receive touch input without affecting the application focus from the current application window. Now, other Window application can use this useful independent touch input feature. We hope various Windows application can be developed using this API.

FingerVU products have been inquired by many of ODM/OEM partners and our users since launching the products this year. Especially the responses to FingerUI, the software for FingerVU, are highly enthusiasm because of its convenience and compatibility. At Computex, held in Taipei at the early of Jun. 2010, there were the professional, technical and official representatives from worldwide companies visited our booth and showed the high interests to the various use of FingerUI much more than USB monitor.

Currently, SoundGraph attempt to develop the HTPC version of the FingerUI, FingerHD (Tentative Name). We believe that FingerHD will overcome the problems that iMEDIAN HD exists. General users may feel unfamiliar and difficult at the beginning of using iMEDIAN HD and it needs several steps to go through the menu and list to play the media users want. But for the users who are familiar with iMEDIAN HD, it will provide options to choose to install iMEDIAN HD, FingerHD or both.

In order to shorten for developing FingerHD, all available personnel will be involved in this development. Because of this circumstance, iMON/iMEDIAN HD update will focus on bug fixes rather than adding new features and its schedule also can be affected depending on the situation of FingerHD development. Please understand this point. When the development for FingerHD is completed, we will release update in the same way with the current.

The FingerUI update release schedule is changed.

Dear All,

The FingerUI update release is changed again due to the delay of development new features.

The Schedule was already postponed once from March 31 to April 7 and we need postpone once again. We deeply apologize it. We checked the version for quality test of the release and we decided this could not be released to end users yet.

We know that users have much interest in the internet browser module and the virtual keyboard feature which are planned to be added to next update. However, initially our development team thought this module/feature as too simple one and the development schedule was not expected properly. And it leads to repeated delays.

The update which will be include the internet browser module and the related URL+ module will be much delayed and we adjust the release schedule of it to April 29, 2010. The internet browser module will support the touch-based web-surfing. In addition to this basic feature, the feature to add the favorite page to FingerUI's IconVeiw easily, the tab-browsing feature will be added. And new objects such as the URL history list and the floating tool-bar for entering URL, back, forward and search action will be added and these objects should co-work with deep relationship with each other. We need additional development and much more test in order to increase the completeness of this new complex module.

The update which will include the virtual keyboard and others will be released at April 15, 2010. The virtual keyboard will support over 100 languages which Windows supports and currently much of features completed. There remains the layout adjustment for some languages and treatment of the candidate window of IME.

The below image is the screenshot of internet browser module. The floating tool-bar is shown in upper side and the virtual keyboard in bottom side.
